connect with the sublime.

of Bas Jan Ader

"He wrote the lyrics from the Coasters song Searchin' across the bottoms of each photo. By integrating the clichŽ of pop emotional expression with his searching walk, Ader forced the work back from transcendental romanticism, and kept it grounded in the realm of the mundane. In this and other works, he communicated his ultimate frustration in attempting to connect with the sublime."

FREE AI WEIWEI

FREE AI WEIWEI

On Sunday the 1st of May- myself and two friends, studying fine art, decided to jump the barriers surrounding Ai Weiwei's "Sunflower Seeds" piece at the Tate modern's Turbine hall. We did it in protest against the barrier, and against the original intentions of the work being inhibited by health and safety; and to fulfil Ai Weiwei's wishes in support of campaigns, since he has been arrested by the Chinese police, and gone missing.

Please support free Ai Weiwei on Facebook and any way you can, and promote freedom of speech, and freedom of art.
